The Farmer-Labor Coalition is an American electoral coalition between the Democratic and Progressive parties. The first incarnation of the coalition was founded in 1992, following Al Gore's decision to accept Ralph Nader's offer to become his running mate in a joint ticket against Bob Dole, which lead to their victory in the 1992 and 1996 presidential elections. It was dissolved in 2002, following the defeat of Al Gore in the 2000 United States presidential election. It was later refounded in 2020, after Barack Obama pledged to run as Bernie Sanders' running mate in the 2020 election.
