Prince Luís of Orléans-Braganza (26 January 1878 – 26 March 1920), was a claimant to the throne of the Empire of Brazil. the second son of Prince Gaston, Count of Eu, and Isabel of Brazil.
His older brother Pedro renounced his claim to succeed his mother as the Emperor, leaving Dom Luís as her heir. In this role he was engaged in political activism and recieved his own Senate seat after becoming the presumptive heir as per constitution requirements, during his tenure he was heavily crticised by many in the political establishment who feared his reformism would come back at them after the death of his mother. However this worries were left untouched due to his death from pneumonia in 1920, one year before his mother's passing. He left the throne to his oldest son Pedro Henrique, who was just twelve years old in 1921.
