Charles Augustus Lindbergh (February 4, 1902 – August 26, 1974) was an American aviator, military officer, and politician who served as the 32nd president of the United States from 1945 to 1949. He became president through the death of Huey Long on April 12, 1945, but was arrested on September 10, 1945, causing general Douglas MacArthur to serve as acting president until the end of his term.
